Accreditation :

DAV Public school is affiliated with CBSE up to Senior Secondary level since January 1986 (Affiliation No. 630020) and also recognized by Directorate of Elementary Education, Kangra at Dharamshala (H.P.)

Courses of Study :

• The school provides education from class NURSERY to class XII.
• The medium of instruction is English, right from grass root level, with equal emphasis on mother tongue.
• The education of child in school starts when she completes 3 years plus and terminates after class XII.
• The school emphasis on Art & Craft, Yoga, Music and General Studies, right from grass root level to secondary level.
• Senior Secondary section is with science stream only, along with General Studies, Physical & Health Education and Work Experience.

Age limit & Seats :

• The age for class Nursery is 3+ years, on the basis of first come first serve and accordingly for classes LKG,UKG,I & II. For classes III onwards, the admission is granted if there is any vacant seat.
• The number of seats for each class is 35 to 40. 

Schedule of Examination :

The school is following the assessment structure, as per the guidelines of DAV CAE in accordance with NEP 2020. Keeping in view the provisions of Right to Education Act-2009, the scheme for classes III to VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of Class X Board Examination, and would thus ensure the 'Quality of Education'. For Secondary and  senior Secondary Classes, the schedule is strictly as per guidelines of CBSE.

From classes Nursery to II: These classes have Academic Session in three terms. First: from Apri to August, Second : from September to December and Third : from January to March. In every term, assessment of each curriculum area and skills is done while children are involved in the games & activities. It is an ongoing process and no term-end evaluation is done i.e. there isn't any formal Unit Test or Examination in he form of Periodic Test or Half Yearly / Annual Examination.
